Please join us for our weekly Sunday Wine Tastings! Come learn about new regions, taste some of your old favorites and stock up on wine for your upcoming dinner party. Our tastings are casual – drop by anytime in the three-hour window and our staff will guide you through the wines at your own pace. Sunday Tasting – Red Car Wine

3-6 p.m.

We’re inviting our friends from Sonoma’s Red Car Wine to pour some of their favorite, latest vintages and winery exclusives. We love their sustainable practices – they farm organically, and use native yeast fermentation and minimal intervention in making their lovely Rosé, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Syrah.

The line-up includes:

  • 2017 Rosé of Pinot Noir
  • 2014 Chardonnay
  • 2014 Pinot Noir
  • 2014 Hagan Pinot Noir
  • 2014 Fort Ross Seaview Cabernet Sauvignon

Wine Club Pick-Up Party

7 p.m.

Meet other Esters Wine Club members to pick up your wine (if it’s not being shipped) and enjoy a special bottle opened up that night, along with light snacks. Co-Owner and Rustic Canyon Family Wine Director Kathryn Coker and the Esters team will share the stories behind this month’s featured winemakers.

If you’re not a member, join! We have three different levels to accommodate your budget and taste, whether you’re a Savvy Sipper, Adventurer or Collector!

Thanksgiving Wine Pop-Up at Huckleberry!

9 a.m.-12 p.m.

We’ll be closed on Thanksgiving, but don’t fret! We’re hosting a pop-up on the sidewalk outside Huckleberry Bakery & Cafe in the morning. Pick up your Huck catering order AND some wine. There will be Champagne, Riesling, Beaujolais and more to pair perfectly with turkey, plus pre-packaged boxes for last-minute host gifts.

 

Sunday Tasting – Post T-Day Wine Cleanse

3-6 p.m.

Maybe you’re still stuffed from all those Thanksgiving leftovers? Honestly, there’s no better way to get back into the swing of things than with wine. Join us for wines that are perfect to get you of that post T-day fog.

Guest Chef Burger Night with Briana Valdez & Guest Somm Night with Taylor Parsons!

6 p.m. until we sell out!

Briana Valdez, who recently opened her second Homestate location in Highland Park, is taking a departure from her signature breakfast tacos and Frito pie to whip up a comforting burger with Texas flair. The Trinity Burger features ground beef, green salsa mayo, crispy potatoes, cheddar cheese, bacon and a fried egg.

Briana’s husband, award-winning sommelier Taylor Parsons is pouring a fun flight of 3 Italian reds that night. Because why not? Before forming his own beverage and hospitality consulting company, Whole Cluster, Taylor was the Chief Sommelier and Beverage Director for Republique, and also oversaw beverage programs for Mozza Restaurant Group, Spago Beverly Hills, Campanile and more.

Sunday Tasting – Breakfast Tasting with Cassia Sommelier Marisa Brown

12-3 p.m. - NOTE TIME CHANGE

We’re excited to welcome our friend, RC Family colleague and neighbor – Sommelier Marisa Brown from Cassia! We’re changing up the time this week because we’re pouring our favorite breakfast and daytime wines. Hosting a holiday brunch or luncheon and need some ideas?  This is the tasting for you!

Holiday Wreath Workshop With Krystal Chang

1-3 p.m.

Our favorite local florist, Krystal Chang, is back with her Holiday Wreath Workshop. This has become a fun, holiday tradition for us here at Esters, where we gather with friends on the patio over sparkling wine and fresh, fragrant evergreen.

Krystal will guide participants in how to make lush and wild holiday wreaths with fresh evergreen boughs and seasonal berries, seedpods and more.  All greenery, materials and tools are provided, so you can take your beautiful creation home!

Spaces are limited, so sign-up early here on Krystal’s website with the special $75 rate before December 1. After that, it’s $85/person.

 

 

 

 

Sunday Tasting – Natural Wines with Courtney Walsh of Amy Atwood Wines

3-6 p.m.

If you’re an Esters regular, you know we have a soft spot for natural wines. We’re inviting our friend Courtney Walsh from Amy Atwood Selections to pour some of her favorites!

Guest Chef Burger Night – Ray Garcia

6 p.m. until we sell out!

Broken Spanish and B.S. Taqueria’s Ray Garcia is returning to his former Santa Monica stomping grounds (he used to be the chef at The Fairmont Miramar’s FIG Restaurant) to cook up a decadent burger.

Sunday Tasting – Our Favorite Holiday Gift Wines

3-6 p.m.

It’s the season of giving, and you can’t beat giving a bottle of wine. We’re pouring our seasonal favorites from small producers to help you make a thoughtful, personal choice!

Sunday Tasting – Bubbles!

3-6 p.m.

New Year’s Eve is tomorrow! This is the perfect tasting to taste through our favorite sparkling wines and Champagnes, and pick out the perfect bottle to usher you from the old year to the new!

New Year’s Eve Celebration

We’ll be doing flights of three different bubbles, because you can’t celebrate New Year’s Eve without some champs!  Plus, we’ll be setting up a beautiful raw bar on the covered and heated patio with oysters galore, ceviche and more.  Usher in 2019 with us!

New Year’s Day Boozy Brunch

10 a.m.-2:30 p.m.

Celebrate the start of 2019 with a special Boozy Brunch at Esters! There will be French Toast…and Bubbles…and Frittatas…and more Bubbles.

Guest Chef Burger Night – Matt Molina

6 p.m. until we sell out!

Matt Molina, behind Everson Royce Bar and the newly-opened Hippo, is serving up his famous E.R.B. Burger with prime beef chuck, Tillamook cheddar and dill pickled on an egg brioche bun.
