Calendar

It’s poppin’! There’s always something fun happening in our wine shop & bar, so you can explore new wines or learn a lil’ something.

Sunday Tastings are 12-9 p.m., with new themes every week, curated by Sommelier Randall Middleton.  Enjoy a flight for $25/person, which includes a mini cheese pairing and link to a video of our team telling stories about the wine.  Plus, enjoy 10% off in the shop for bottles featured in that day’s line-up.

Monday Cellar Nights are 4-10 p.m. and are a really cool way to try a glass of something rare or fancy from our high-end collection, without committing to the whole bottle. We’ve popped open luxurious Champagnes, baller Burgundies, small allocations from top California winemakers and more.

Read on for the details, along with our upcoming schedule.

Quarterly Book Club
2-4 p.m.

Keeping with our 2024 Champagne Resolutions, we’re reading The Widow Clicquot by Tilar J. Mazzeo for our next, quarterly Book Club. It delves into the history of Barbe-Nicole Clicquot Ponsardin, who assumed the reins in 1772 of the now iconic Veuve Clicquot after her husband’s death. She became one of the richest women of her time and one of the world’s first, great businesswomen. We’ll cheers to that!

Co-Owner Kathryn Coker and her friend Jenna Schiedermayer will lead the discussion, and we’ll have wines available to purchase by-the-glass and inspired by the book. If you haven’t been to one of these gatherings yet, it’s a great way to connect with fellow book and wine-lovers in a super chill setting.

Buy from one of Kathryn’s favorite local, independent book shops:
Diesel – A Book Store – Santa Monica/Brentwood
Village Well Books – Culver City

Our Quarterly Book Clubs are free events. To RSVP, please e-mail hello@esterswineshop.com with your name and number of people in your party so we can get a rough headcount. You can still come if you forget to RSVP!
