Shipping & Delivery Details

Shipping

We offer shipping through Fed Ex Ground.  You will receive an automated confirmation of your order, another email within 24-48 hours with estimated ship date, and final notification of shipping with tracking number. We process orders as soon as possible but consolidate our shipping to one day per week (generally on Tuesday).  If you require expedited shipping or special handling, please call the store 310.899.6900. All packages containing alcohol must be signed for upon delivery by an adult (21 years of age or older).

Where Do We Ship?

Due to many state and local laws, Esters is only able to ship wine to limited number of states. The laws regarding the direct shipment of wine are constantly changing.  Our system will accept your order if you place it, (and you will receive an auto-confirmation of your order) but if you are in one of the “Call” states we will need one business day to confirm we can ship it. You will receive an email or phone call from Esters indicating whether we can ship. You can also call us at 310.899.6900 or email us at hello@esterswineshop.com if you have specific questions. Are There Any Restrictions?

All packages containing alcohol must be signed for upon delivery by an adult (21 years of age or older). FedEx will not leave such packages on the door step, even if the recipient has requested this.  If you are unable to sign for your wine package on any of the 3 delivery attempts, FedEx will return your package back to Esters.  You have the option to have the package held for local pick-up or reshipped for an additional shipping fee. Please contact us directly at 310.899.6900 for any questions or concerns regarding delivery.  FedEx cannot deliver wine to P.O. boxes, please provide a physical address where someone 21 or older can sign for the wine.

Do You Accept International Orders?

At the moment we do not ship to international addresses.

How Can I Check The Status Of My Order?

You will receive an email within 24 hours to confirm the availability of your order and an estimated ship date.  On the day of shipping, you will receive another email with a tracking number.  You can use your tracking number and visit www.fedex.com to get the most up-to-date information on your order.  At any time, you can contact us with questions or concerns at 310.899.6900.

What If It Becomes Too Hot Or Cold To Ship?

During periods of extreme heat (90 degrees and above) or cold (32 degrees and below), Esters may delay shipment of a package to prevent heat damage or freezing. If we feel it is necessary to put a weather hold on your order, you will be notified via email. If you wish to expedite shipping, you can call the store 310.899.6900.

Returns

The California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control and as federal law states, alcoholic beverages can only be returned or exchanged if the product is spoiled, deteriorated or contaminated.  Since we cannot control how bottles are stored once they leave our possession, we will only accept bottles for refund within 30 days of purchase.  In such instances we will offer a replacement of the same item, refund the credit card used to purchase the item or issue a store credit for the amount that was paid for the item.
